Cheeseburger Cabbage Wraps



Cheeseburger cabbage wraps offer a low-carb twist on the classic cheeseburger, using cabbage leaves instead of buns. Here's a simple recipe to make cheeseburger cabbage wraps:

Ingredients:

For the cheeseburger filling:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your choice)
  • Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, ketchup, mustard

For the cabbage wraps:

  • Large cabbage leaves, washed and dried
  • Toothpicks or small skewers

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.

  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef. Cook until the onion is softened and translucent.

  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the beef mixture. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

  4. Place a slice of cheese on each portion of the beef mixture in the skillet. Allow it to melt slightly.

  5. To assemble the cheeseburger cabbage wraps, take a cabbage leaf and spoon some of the beef mixture onto the center of the leaf.

  6. Add any desired toppings such as sliced tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, ketchup, or mustard on top of the beef mixture.

  7. Carefully fold the sides of the cabbage leaf over the filling, then roll it up tightly like a burrito. Secure with a toothpick or small skewer to hold it together.

  8. Repeat the process with the remaining cabbage leaves and beef mixture.

  9. Serve the cheeseburger cabbage wraps immediately, or store them in the refrigerator for later. Enjoy!
